The Havachon is a wonderful mix of the Bichon Frise and the Havanese.  They combine the best characteristics of both breeds.  They are sweet like the Havanese, but also have some of the Bichon's feisty attitude.  The Havachon is a wonderful pet for anyone, any age.  They love children, as shown above, and are also a very sweet dog for the elderly or anyone in between!

The Havachon is a non-shedding breed and therefore also great for people with allergies.  They have a beautiful soft silky coat that can be either curly or wavy.  They come in a wide variety of colors.  Like the Havanese, their color does sometimes 'fade' as they get older.  So a golden puppy might turn into a cream dog.

They are an extremely smart little dog and easily trained.  They are not high energy, and so do not require an extreme amount of exercise.  Although, as with any dog, they do like to run and play and should be given the opportunity to do so.

The Havachon's coat does require some maintenance.  The amount of which depends on you.  However long you keep the coat will determine the amount of work you put into your dog.  A longer coat will require daily brushing to remain mat free.

The Havachon will weigh on average 10-15lbs, depending on the size of the parents.  Around 12lbs is fairly normal for the breed. They are a very healthy breed in general and are not prone to any specific diseases or conditions.

This is just a great all around breed for someone looking for the ultimate lapdog and playmate.
